Ugly Little Secret
Every so often, I let the cat out of the bag on an ugly little secret (this is no slam on cats). Today’s ugly little secret is likely the largest contemporary elephant in the room: the secular state cannot save you. The “state” - in its current understanding and concept - is a nineteenth century invention. Forms of governance have been around since the beginning of time. The term “state” has been elevated since the writings of Marx. Governments are tools not gods (unless you make the mistake of worshipping them).
Since the so called “Enlightenment” reason has been elevated to the level of deity — despite the fact that it was created by Deity. Reason alone is a lesser god. It too is a tool made for humanity’s sake. The ugly little secret includes how the state dumps you when you can no longer pay taxes or vote. It turns its head at your grave, because it is powerless to do anything about your eternal destiny. In the mean time, it commissions endless amusement creators and even gives them special tax breaks. After all, an amused society is easily controlled.
The state is a jealous little god. It considers the church a competitor. Being the power-hungry organization it is, no one dares stand in its way. As far as its public relations is concerned, the Master of Spin is followed closely (read the early chapters of Genesis for its tactics). Words are mere toys for inducing trances to the masses. Instead of admitting its lies, it refers to the process as “disinformation” (Orwell would be so proud).
No, I am not anti-government. I am simply one prone to reveal ugly little secrets (even some about myself every so often…I call it confession). You do not go to heaven for being a good citizen. Heaven is not bestowed by the state (never has been - never will be). Jesus was killed for being a threat to the “powers that be” of his day. Religious people with secular hearts got in on this one too. They spun his words to make him appear that he was a threat to the state. That is all it took to get him killed. The secular state of the day was absolutely powerless to keep him dead. That too is part of the ugly little secret the state refuses to admit (though it tolerates Christmas and Easter — but only for now).
We know where the real power lies. Whoever gave us life has the power to bring us back to life. Everything else — including the “state” with all of its assumed and amassed powers — is secondary. The state will take your money, your time, and anything else it can squeeze from you - but do yourself a favor - don’t give it (or your work or your entertainment) your soul. It did not create us. We created it. Put the elephant in the living room back to the zoo where it belongs and give yourself some room to live.
