Search for the Center

It has been a strange but rewarding journey. I have spent my life looking for the center. Here is how I did it, and here is what I found:

First of all, I pursued theology — and continue that quest. God is certainly the beginning, middle, and the end. That part of the quest began with a foregone conclusion (98% of the people on this planet believe in a Higher Being). The other quests have been more illusive.

Second, I pursued the quest for the ultimate mind. Psychology is a wonderful place to play academically. In the end, I found that the mind that loves is the healthiest. God is love.

Third, I looked for the ultimate thought. I pursued philosophy and found that, much like theology, it begins and ends in that ethereal concept called God.

Fourth, I have studied the physical creation. Physics is a real trip. It too begins and ends with what is called a “singularity” — also dubbed…for lack of any other term as: God.

For all of my quests, I have found that the Center is not in some far off galaxy, grand philosophic scheme, psychological concept, or theological model. The Center is everywhere. That is the paradox. It resides everywhere, but is most easily found in your own heart.
