Doubt Wars
The Apostle Paul was right. We do not fight against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. Yesterday’s airline terrorist was a spoiled kid with nihilism in his soul. Most of us would have never suspected him. He was well educated and lived in a multi-million dollar dwelling. Some religions prize life; some worship death. Both are right under our nose. To find the full truth about the situation means consulting with foreign news firms. The ones here are too busy trying to spin the story one direction or the other. We live in an ocean of lies — from the subtle to the glaringly obvious.
I am no fool. Though I play the village idiot and the town court jester, I take notes. Cynicism and selective information are eating us alive. News sources have become a house of mirrors. Discernment is now a matter of sanity or insanity — life or death. I still believe in the common sense of the average person. The “forces that be” have yet to completely destroy the eyes and ears of the everyday person. Pray for her and him. Pray for us all.
It is becoming more and more difficult to find the real among the imagined. It is even harder to find positive faith in the growing jungle of doubt. Watch out for the agendas that enslave in the guise of liberation. It is the oldest trick in the book. It is the same bill of goods sold to Adam and Eve by the Tempter.
The Camelot years of Christ and Culture are long gone. The battle is on. Today is a good day to sharpen your perception sword. You are going to need it for this week…and the next…and the next. The battle will still be raging long after you are gone from this planet. Fight your part of the battle now.
